No Idea: the daily estimation game
No Idea asks one question a day that nobody knows the answer to, like how many pigs live in China or how many islands Sweden has, and gives you one guess. You score by how close you get, so a good estimate beats knowing nothing.

- Read the day's question.
- Type your best guess as a number. You only get one.
- See the real answer, how many times too high or too low you were, and your score.
Scoring
- Within 5% scores the full 100. Half or double the answer still scores 71, and ten times off or worse scores 0.
- Sixty or more counts as a win, which is roughly within two and a half times the answer either way.
- The share grid fills a green square for every 20 points.
Tips
- Build the number from things you know: a country's population, a rough share, a sensible rate.
- Being off by a factor matters more than being off by an amount, so get the number of zeros right first.
- If you're torn between two guesses, pick a number between them rather than either end.
Questions
- Are the answers real?
- Yes. Every question has one firm number from a published source.
- Why only one guess?
- That's the game: one shot, scored by how close you get. A new question comes out every day at midnight where you are.
- Is there a practice mode?
- No, it's one question a day, the same for everyone.
